Sound Alive

Learning through sound, light, and motion.

The learning need
Make creative technology approachable. Connect sound, light, and motion to artistic choices, so learners can build a sound-reactive artwork and tune how it feels to a visitor.
The learners
Designed for complete beginners ages 12–14, with no assumed coding, electronics, or robotics experience. Art and creativity come first.
My design contribution
I developed the course around clear explanations, visual examples, and hands-on activities. Lesson 014, Make the Reaction Feel Right, guides learners through testing the trigger, light, motion, and rest, then changing one variable at a time.
The finished materials
A course of lesson guides, illustrations, and guided practice. The sample lesson gives you a real lesson to read and visual materials to explore.
