About

Mario Geneau.
The Undercover Teacher.

I love making complicated things understandable. Teaching, design, and technology are how I do it.

Custom courses. Clear explanations. Useful visuals.

From an idea to understanding

A little background

A teacher’s perspective.
A designer’s attention to detail.

My background is in communication and graphic design, which I studied in Quebec. That foundation shapes the way I organize information, explain an idea, and give it a visual form.

My teaching experience includes Institut Grasset, Concordia University, and CODE{313}. Across those settings, the part I love is helping people make sense of something that felt complicated at first.

Today, I bring that teaching experience and design background to custom technology and AI courses. I work with companies, schools, and training organizations to turn their expertise into learning people can follow and use.

I also speak French. So if you’d rather start the conversation in French, on peut en parler en français.

The Undercover Teacher

A nickname that stuck.

While I was studying at the Apple Developer Academy in Detroit, someone called me “The Undercover Teacher” because I was helping other students so much.

The name stuck. It captures something I enjoy about learning: working through an idea together, finding another way to explain it, and helping someone take the next step.

What guides the work

Keep the learner in the picture.

Start with understanding.

Who is learning? What do they already know? What would help them take the next step? Those questions shape the course.

Make the idea visible.

A useful visual does more than decorate a page. It helps learners see a relationship, follow a process, or understand a choice.

Connect it to practice.

Examples and activities give an idea somewhere to go. Learners can try it, question it, and use it in a context that matters.

Let’s make something useful

You bring the expertise.
We shape the learning.

You don’t need a finished course plan. Bring an idea, a question, or a topic you want people to understand.
